My week has been quite awful, and I’d like to hear some ways you have to make it a bit easier to deal with.
Fuck my bosses for ruining the one day I had this week that was going well by being transphobic.
If it’s general sad times, I go outside to my favorite nature spot and watch the grass and the trees sway in the breeze, and just think about life.
If it’s body image sad times, I make a redonkulous veggie burger, microdose a THC drink, and watch a comfort show, usually Broad City.
I like to look at my sleeping cat.
Here, try it out yourself!
DANGER, sleepy cat within

My dog used to make everything feel better, just hugging him, watching him sleep, getting caught up in his endless enthusiasm for life…
Pets make everything better 🥰
If cute cat doesn’t work, perhaps I can interest you in cute dog?

I would kill for this sweet wittle doggy. What a darling!

Get Taco Bell and then put on a comfort show. Futurama, Scrubs, ans DragonBall Z Abridged are my classic choices, but watching old seasons of Game Changer has been a recent addition.
Ugh that really sucks about your bosses and your week.
I like to rot in bed, but make it nice. I’ll set up snacks and drinks, put on clean sheets, wear my fave pajamas, and watch a good movie. My favorite rewatch lately has been 10 Things I Hate About You.
Basically treat myself like a parent tucking in their sick kid with all their favorites. Real cozy vibes.
I hope the end of the week is a little brighter for you than the start!
My current go to move for resetting is crawling into bed hugging my plushies and listen to music with my earbuds in. These days that music tends to be Cocteau Twins, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Ora Cogan and Agnes Obel. Once I calm my brain and start paying attention to the music it ferry’s me to a lighter place for just a little while.
I hope your week gets better 💜
I take one of my fussier teas out, sit down, and go through the full 功夫茶 (“kung fu” tea) ceremony. Focusing on the complex steps and timing just takes me to a 禅境 (Zen state) where the world vanishes while I make killer tea and when I come out the other end the world is a nicer place again.
if things get really bad ill get high and have some ice cream. as long as i dont do it too much it makes me feel much better. oh or get high, go get a burrito, and eat it somewhere outside and watch the world go by. theres a lake near me i go to for that but anywhere with lots of plants is good.
There’s a park near me with some rather perfectly spaced trees for hammocking, and I will sometimes go out to a local tex-mex place and order my favorite burrito, some sweet tea, and chill in a hammock while smoking weed, watch the birds, the trees swaying in the breeze, and generally stop being a person for a little bit.
It’s nice to do nothing without feeling like I’m wasting time.
I was gonna say pho but burritos are also great. And yes, sitting outside without looking at your phone and chilling/spacing out can really help the brain.
