So I’m currently playing through Hollow Knight, and two months ago I played through (and loved) Ori and the Blind Forest.
Two Metroidvanias inside two months. Okay I hear you ask, what of it?
Well, those are the first Metroidvanias (or 'Search Action games, for those in the know) that I’ve ever really played for longer than ten minutes. To say I bounce off those sorts of games would be an understatement.
So, as you’ve gotten older, have you noticed that your tastes in games has evolved in any meaningful way?
Same here. What slow paced games do you recommend?
Yeah same here. I picked up Snowrunner not long back and never been so satisfied to drive like 10mph. 180 hours deep now.
Anything turn-based - strategy, rpg, board games. There’s Civilization types, XCOM types, Heroes of Might and Magic or King’s Bounty types.
Driving games that aren’t about racing like brap suggested - there’s even a space truck one coming soon.
Simulators of any kind - farming, city building, lawn mowing etc.
Pausable - strategy, 4x, D&D. War stuff, Stellaris types that don’t have dozens of overpriced dlcs, Master of Orion etc.
Elite Dangerous?
anyway I wonder how you feel about Euro Truck Simulator

I’m ok with anything as long as it doesn’t hide core gameplay in multiple game-priced DLCs. Even that train simulator with hundreds of separate skins.

No, this just gives you extra bits of the map if you want.
The game itself is already more fun than it should be.
