To all the people who were anti-AI Regulation, I only have one thing to say. You reap what you sow.

“The invoice you didn’t see coming”? Everyone that wasn’t guzzling the Kool-aid saw it coming. AI is expensive. Really fucking expensive. Every AI company has been operating at a massive loss this entire time.

Of course the price was going to increase. There’s still a bunch of price hikes coming, just slow/small enough to “boil the frog alive”.

The fact that it was hidden in some accounting fuckery is also not surprising. Hidden fees are the norm now.
