I’m undecided about the rant. Most of his fans aren’t gamers and don’t care about gaming world drama. Can’t fault them. I am a gamer and I have played (and beaten, and 100%'d) Fallout 4 (and modded it as well). I am also one of the, I would say few, who have played it on Mac. (Via Whisky and some tweaks. The game is not meant to be played on a Mac, but it’s doable.) I’m also not a Breaking Benjamin fan. (They’re not bad, just not a show I’d go to… though, I think I did see them live, opening for someone else.)
However, I had to quit the YouTube video partway in. Way too much camera sway for my equilibrium. I don’t even care that he vibe coded the mod. If Bethesda could vibe code Fallout 4 to be playable on Xbox past 20-30 hours, I’d feel a whole heck of a lot better about vibe coding. Because they clearly can’t do it with humans alone. Now, if they could vibe code some quality into Fallout 76 and Starfield… hoo boy, that would be something.
Fair points, all around. In a similar vein, none of the series Fallout: New Vegas, IMHO —not counting the deep nostalgia the early ones hold.
That said, I generally enjoyed Starfield, and modded the hell out of it. Though, I did come to it by way of Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky, so 🤷🏼♂️😅
