It’s also the main reason why companies move jobs to Canada and Mexico.

Killing health insurance CEOs should be considered self defense.

There’s roughly 190,000 thousand deaths annually in the US believed to be directly caused by insurance and access issues.

      https://pnhp.org/news/estimated-us-deaths-associated-with-health-insurance-access-to-care/

Yes it’s an onion article but it’s not untrue, just not a specific example. So why not upvote it in general acknowledgement of the issue? They don’t need a specific example because we all know how much of a problem insurance in the US especially in part because is tied to work for most people (and, well, this is work reform)

The governments answer to affordable housing more deaths then births. Eventually cheap housing for all as not enough people to fill them

The onion framing this as satire is really doing the cause a disservice.

What? Satire is to make fun of human failing. This is what satire is and is for.

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.

Our Philosophies:

  • All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
  • Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
  • Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
  • We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.

Our Goals

  • Higher wages for underpaid workers.
  • Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
  • Better and fewer working hours.
  • Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
  • Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
