Yes…but it’s funny they’re using DND. DND famously has a lot of needlessly complicated things - attribute mapping to bonuses, damage dice are arbitrary and need to be memorized or looked up, the spell system is all bespoke spells also need to be looked up or memorized.

I think once people get acclimated to a system, a lot of the non-simple parts don’t stand out anymore. You just know that a 15 score is +2.
