I know it’s a cult classic and it’s praised up and down as an underground hit or an unappreciated masterpiece but it’s kinda boring. Hopefully if they do a remaster they modernize it as well.
I always wanted to play it but every time I tried I got bored and gave up.
It’s more about the atmosphere then the action. I’m one who played it multiple times as a child. The off putting nature of the story and environment including the sanity system was cool. I liked how we moved forward in time with each chapter seeing how the horrors persisted and how each protagonist dealed with them. The rock-paper-scissors combat was pretty simplistic though.
I always like the lore and the story and especially the sanity effects, I just felt it was presented poorly and could use a bit of polish.
