Resurfaced allegations of a gang rape at a Cornell University fraternity house have renewed outrage over what experts call a legal “loophole” in New York’s – and other states’ – sexual assault laws that can make it nearly impossible for survivors to seek justice if they voluntarily consumed alcohol or drugs before an assault.

Seriously, if you’re sensitive to anything related to SA or you just don’t feel like boiling your blood into pudding today, don’t follow this.

The US ‘justice’ system is the single worst-named entity on the planet. It’s related to seeking justice about as much as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea cares about its people.

      Honestly I keep getting angry about this. A bunch of straight white men made a law that disproportionately effects women, LGBT+ people and other subjugated groups. And it’s one of the worst things that could ever happen to us. And in this case that part of law doesn’t even matter cos she was very clearly raped regardless of intoxication but still the system covered it up!

      Side note… Jake Tapper destroying the DA on CNN was glorious
