I’ve seen the term “ajudicated rapist” used a bunch. Basically the judge did assert that Trump did sexually assault Carol but since it wasn’t a criminal trial, he was ajudicated, not convicted. If I recall correctly, NY pretty much only considered an incident to be rape if it penetrative and using a penis, so that’s why it’s SA rather than rape. I think their laws are different now so it would be considered rape today.

He was found liable for defamation for lying about his sexual assault (colloquially accepted as rape) of E Jean Carroll. A jury found it more likely than not that he raped Carroll and lied about it. That a jury said, “yeah he probably raped her” is damning enough.
