In the 90’s people had pagers. The teachers (or someone else who was clever) spread rumors that they were illegal in schools.
Everyone hid their pagers and they were not disruptive.
If we have to live with mass shootings, my kid carries a phone
That’s theft. Call the police. Also file a civil suit for damages.

Like that other person said, if we’re having school shootings, the kids should have phones.
