It’s annoying when you ask someone if they’ve seen a film you loved. Only for when you start talking about it, they reveal they just watched a Youtube summary and ruined the whole thing for themselves…
It’s more common with younger folks but since even my own father spends hours a day on Youtube while being “too busy” to watch movies anymore. I’m not going to say it’s only a young person thing.
Same with movies.

People who do this are very odd to me. I’m not sure if its a younger person thing or what. I think people can’t sit still for a movie now.

There are many movies I don’t intend to watch, but then if they are culturally significant I read the plot on Wikipedia.
