Now, the state of Israel – not AIPAC, to be clear – is running television ads in Iowa, a key Senate battleground state that may only be in play for Democrats thanks to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

In one TV ad, Israel specifically touts its willingness to wage war. “Israel confronts Iran and its network of proxies directly, addressing those dangers at their source,” the ad says, claiming that this helps “deter aggression” and “stop a wider conflict” – as if America isn’t currently at war with Iran.

“For Americans, the benefit is straightforward,” the ad claims

As an American will not lose hope… But I will be full of hated and despair and disgust for my countrymen.

As if that glass isn’t already tipped over.

Don’t you think Democrats should’ve given them a reason to vote for them?

Or do you think “orange man bad” is the only strategy they needed?

Being less bad for the Palestinians would be a reason.

Voting against a habitual liar and criminal would be a reason.

Less bad how? They were in charge, overseeing a genocide and arming the belligerent to carry on the assault.

This is that “orange man bad” strategy that clearly didn’t work. Nor should it.

Nobody in democrat party ever lied or commit crimes? You’ve never heard of all the innocents bombed by Barack? Hillary’s husband and his secretary?..nothing other than orange man bad?

Yes, let perfect be the enemy of good.

Changing the Democrats happens during the primaries.

Voting for the genocide harder party in the mean time is definitely a winning strategy for sure.

They were already genociding pretty hard as it was.

You are accepting Dems as “good”. Their actions convinced people otherwise.

Nobody asked for perfection from them. They literally told people to stfu about genocide and vote for them. People didn’t. Blame the party.

So given the choice you were like sure they are bad but you know what? In order to punish this party for their lack of purity I’m going to make it way worse for the Palestinians who already have it hard.

That doesn’t even take into account the other things like making it worse for women and minorities in the US too.

You out here making false equivalences when the two parties you have to choose from are not even close.

They had the option to stop the genocide. They made their choice. It’s their fault, not the voters’ who were told to STFU about the genocide.

The party is responsible. They were the ones with power. They were in charge, not the voters.

Saying dumb shit like “if you don’t vote for me you ain’t black” wasn’t going to win them support. Telling their supporters to stfu and vote blue no matter who got the treatment it deserves.

People have the option to not vote if they hate their options. They sent a message. The party has to decide if they’re willing to listen or continue to act like overlords cuz “orange man bad” wasn’t a winning strategy for them. You think they learn anything?..

You seem to think that someone other than Kamala Harris could have run for the Democrats once Joe Biden stepped down.

You should know that, legally, the only person who could have run after Biden stepped down was Kamala Harris. You should also know that as a condition of Biden stepping down so she could run, she was not allowed to deviate from his policies AT ALL during the election.

Oftentimes there are external constraints people come up against.

Should Biden have stepped down earlier? Sure. But that wasn’t Kamala’s fault. She was dealt a shitty hand and so were we. You do the best you can with what you have.

man referred to with last name, woman referred to with first name

              Classic.

So, if Harris had stepped down, there wouldn’t have been a Dem nominee? That doesn’t sound right.

You’re reading too much into it. I chose Kamala and Biden because they are more distinctive than Harris and Joe and I was too lazy to write out full names.

Yes, if Kamala Harris had stepped down, before naming a VP candidate, the money they had in their war chest could not be spent on that ticket.

You were lazy, but for some reason you wrote the longer “Biden” instead of the shorter “Joe” 🤔

She could have named a VP and then stepped down. She chose not to because she wanted to force us to vote for her.

I understand that. I don’t think Biden or Harris is to blame for it all.

The party is supposed to be above the figurehead/president. Donald made Republicans about Donald Trump. Donald is an idiot who doesn’t care about anyone but himself. Dems should’ve know better.

People weren’t willing to vote for her just because Orange Man Bad. Where’s the blame for that party? What’s their excuse for continuing to play along for so much of Donald’s nonsense?

Democratic party was in charge when the genocide started. They refused to stop it. I don’t blame the voters who didn’t vote for them. It’s their right.

Well, I work the polls in every election and one major difference I saw in 2024 was a surprising number of young, white, slovenly men who were first time voters coming in to vote. They looked like Joe Rogan fans. I’m pretty sure they voted for Trump.

I also think this country is not only very racist but even more misogynistic. If Kamala had been a man, I think Trump would have lost.

Yea, no argument there. I had faith that US will pick Harris. Others told me that I give them too much credit without realizing just how rampant misogyny is over there.

I foolishly convinced myself that “woman leader would be emotional and start a war once a month” mentality was a thing of the past. Especially since so many strong women leaders across the world proved their mettle in my time alive.

They refused a highly educated, accomplished woman for an orange buffoon. They refused another highly educated and accomplished woman despite knowing that the orange buffoon is also a pedophile. Well, they made their bed.

The only silver lining is that the buffoon is hollowing out the empire from within.

ICE got IDF style rape dungeons. Lots of pregnant children, raped and disappeared children because of ICE that aren’t getting enough attention.

Land of the free was training dogs to rape helpless human beings in Abu Gharib, Gitmo and other such places.

Let’s be real, USA has plenty of practice killing unarmed civilians and slaughtering children. They’ve been doing it longer than IDF has colonized Palestine.
