Actually, Florida your still did well it was very close and looks like there were some changes in state legislature that might make it easier in 2028.

This meme perfectly captures my mood down here in NW Florida. At one point the Senate and Governor races were neck and neck and I had hope.

OP: You can add Mississippi in there if the D candidate wins. They’re ahead by 34 votes ATM. And no, I didn’t leave off a zero.

If it makes you feel better, the margin was 3%, better than polls, and that was against some really heavy tomfoolery from the state supermajority and governor. It’s one of the worst states for oppression right now.

So… despite the outcome, I’m proud of Florida Dems, I don’t want them to give up. Nixon was a hella cool primary choice, too.

Yeah but fuck Chuck Schumer and the rest of the AIPAC gang for leaving Florida out to dry and focusing on Mississippi.

I’m writing my Senator today, we can’t have Schumer as leader. He’s got to go.

I already wrote to my senators about Schummer and representative about Jeffries.

They already showed what they are capable, if they are selected all of this will be wasted.

Totally, although if anything money and party backing didn’t seem to stop people in some races. I bet we see a democratic Florida within the decade if momentum holds or Congress does something about Citizens United or other things that corrupt the system. But that’s somewhat wishful thinking.

We’re gonna keep trying down here! Given the circumstances and how intense voter suppression is here, I can’t really be that upset that resources were diverted for Mississippi, but it would be pretty nice to not be completely left out in the cold the moment we get a DSA candidate through the primaries.

Honestly it gives me hope and it’s weird we finally get to show just how purple every state really is, though.

Oklahoman here feel the pain. Got excited for second when our Dem governor was in the lead, but then saw only 11% reporting. Oklahoma fuck just loves to disappoint. Fucking dumb fucks around here.

IIRC Angie Nixon said she is running again for the same seat in two years. The term is only 2 years long because it is replacing Marco Rubio.

They did and the races were pretty close, most on AP were ~3%.

With enough money and the correct candidates Florida might be in play in 2028 provided the dems don’t collectively step on their crank
