Cool project. How long to charge? What if it rains?
To charge a 600whr ebike battery to full would take my 50w panel 12hrs. Or around 3-5 miles of range added per hour of sunlight.
The 110w trailer adds around 10 miles of range per hour. Plus it has 800whr of extra storage in the solar generator.
If it rains I just don’t use the solar hookup. Not much sun anyway. This thing has been through a midwest tornado and done pretty well. Just in case there’s any issue I put a 5amp fuse on the line going to the ebike battery. Figured I’d rather loose a 10c fuse than a 400$ battery.
