Steam deck
Nothing, I don’t have one.
On my nightstand? the usual: lamp, chargers, some decorations and that’s where my wallet and glasses sit at night.
In my nightstand? That has turned into a massive junk drawer of thjngs I have no idea of where to put, but some things of note: passport, travel charger, different currencies from the world, old chargers, nail file and clippers, other watches, a journal I tried to keep 20 years ago.
That reminds me, I should probably go through and clean it out.
Hmmm… Mostly a full bottle of water, rest of the space is for my phone and glasses when I go to sleep, in the morning the same space can be reused for a mug full of coffee.
Condoms, a magic wand, lube, cock ring, extra cables for charging various devices, and a knife the seller named “Praxis” like the moon from Undiscovered Country.
On top, I keep ear buds, glasses, and my phone, usually.
😊dm pls
- Crushed hopes and dreams
- A small motherless goat
- World peace
- A cardboard chicken McNuggets box from June 1983, including remnants
- 2.73 grams of termite frass
Inside I keep extra meds and a small gun safe. On top is usually water, Nintendo DS, a book, and my jewelry. When I’m lazy you’ll find little nebulizer vials on top too.
small gun safe
Amazing how odd that sounds to people that don’t live in the 19th century
Home defense is only normal in the 19th century? I have kids and own guns, not sure what else would be expected.
It’s not normal to need that kind of defence in the 21st century… bandits and what not really aren’t a thing here because we have social security safety nets and (admittedly quite crap) mental health care.
You have no idea where they live, and break-ins happen anywhere
Are you saying that the country you live in has a violent crime rate of zero?
Zero? Probably not. Low enough that I don’t worry about it? Definitely.
I’m sorry to hear you live with that fear everyday.
You mean “Sorry to hear you’re so cowardly that you feel you need a gun to protect you from cowards” 😂
Yes, clearly that’s what they are saying 🤦♂️
A lot of shit honestly.
- THC vapes (mostly empty)
- Books
- Blood pressure monitor
- Thermometer
- Dildos/vibrators/lube for my wife
- Small cases/boxes for things
- A wii u
- Random bush crafting/back packing stuff. Bandaids, head lamps, etc.
Why you need Dildos for your wife ? What about your … organic stuff ?
Because you learn in life to make sure others are happy. The invention of a dildo was due to housewives in the 20’s suffering from hysteria. If I get mine I need to make sure she gets hers.
And my organic stuff? You mean my THC vapes? What about them?
My dildo and some expensive lube
I may regret this but how expensive? Is there a big difference between that and the cheaper stuff?
I don’t have a bedside nightstand but I do have a shallow shelf over my bed where I have sleep meds, paracetamol, wireless earphones, a roll of TP, microfiber cloth and and also put my glasses and snus can there when I go to bed.
You don’t have a cat do you?
I had/have a similar setup. My one cat I’ve had for years never knocks anything down but now I also have a kitten and he occasionally feels the need to clear that ledge off. Typically when I’m in bed. It is kind of funny just hearing the pill bottles slide for a bit then fall out of nowhere.
I don’t keep very much up there now. Only stuff he shows very little interest in pushing over.
A truly unreasonable number of sex toys that built up over the years from previous relationships. My anti-bible “Drunk With Blood”.
Phone, phone charger, TV remote
Honest:
- Taco Bell hot sauce packets (may be expired, who knows)
- McDonald’s Hot Mustard cups or whatever you call them
- Depleted weed batteries
- Old remotes that I don’t even know what they go to
- Random mail from like 2+ years ago
- Sunflower seeds (fresh!)
- Nail clippers
- A couple books I haven’t read yet
- Extra socks
- Extra charging cables
I’m a minimalist- no nightstand.
Woman over 30 here. I just keep a bottle of water, and in the summer, an electric infuser that thwarts mosquitos (too many in my area). I make a point to not have phones or alarm clocks by.
