Aftermath:

VOY s4e18/19 “The Killing Game” a delightful romp on the holodeck with the Hirogen hunters.

I love that movie so much! Best neo-noir, even moreso than Bladerunner, Dark City, or The Big Lebowski.

edit: ok, maybe not Lebowski, but it places “high in the runnin”

Lebowski is more noir-satire. But, yeah, WFRR is a gem!

In response to your now ethereal comment, but still relevant to the new. Lebowski absolutely falls under the neo-noir category. We’ve got:

        • Reluctant “detective” Lebowski

        • Femme fatale Maude

        • Red herring “Autobahn”

        • Convoluted story

        • Narrator, though not necessarily that of the main character

Roger Rabbit/Lebowski/Blue Velvet are more satirical/referential, but still fall within the same range despite their differences.
