Understandable, super easy to set up fwiw, just install nicotine, create your acct, create a share folder with a download folder inside it, tell the program where those are on your pc, and the “hard” part (which you said “server,” so you’ll be fine) forward a port and tell nicotine what it is in the settings. Bang, done, download away.

Should work fine through a VPN as long as everything is forwarded right ya?

Yeah. My vpn just ended port forwarding, too, but it says it’s still open on the client, who knows lol.
