“P.S.” stands for “Post Scriptum”, which means “after writing”.
If you write “P.P.S.” it means “after, after writing”, which is fine / makes enough sense. “P.S.S.”, on the other hand means “after writing writing” which doesn’t make sense or add any meaning.
Ah thanks! I’ve always seen it as P.S.S., and it’s not great style to begin with, but TIL…
