A nice aboringdystopia crosspost for sure - in the US, just imagine, if you become an Olympic athlete, maybe you can get two weeks of free healthcare.

After the ACA’s protected political fights, I’m sure few representative are looking for a way to have 100 times the fights needed to get everyone free healthcare. But - though we’ve spent so many years trying to wake from our fascist fever dream that it feels like yesterday - it’s honestly time to try again. In the 14 years since it passed, I think support would be high, as long as it’s effectively marketed as cheaper and better and working in other countries.

Even Republicans have to admit what we have isn’t working. Maybe, finally, we’re all sick and tired of being sick and tired?

Hold on buddy, don’t be so critical of the US

They’re working very hard to ensure every person has a firearm in each hand at all times. With all that work there is little time to worry about healthcare

New plan: become an elite athlete, take advantage of free healthcare every 4 years. It’s honestly a better plan than my current one, which is to pay 16k every year for healthcare, only to be too scared of extra fees to use it.
