In this case (Americans on American soil), wouldn’t capture be preferred? We do that with enemy combatants all the time. If elimination is better, why?
Well, I’m relieved you know how to draw a line somewhere.
Right now it seems like I’m having a discussion with a bunch of people who think murder is okay.
But maybe I’m just not communicating my point clearly enough.
Nazis are far, far worse than y’all condoning unjustified vigilante vehicular manslaughter; there’s no both-sides to this (if I had no other choice, I’d pick the murder—but thankfully there are other choices)
Only from what is in the photo and it’s title, people are calling for murder
I welcome actual criticism of my position; mostly I’ve gotten attacks on my character
It is okay to offer constructive criticism to someone for calling for murder as the only solution, so they can seek out more effective solutions and learn to better direct and express their anger
I don’t agree fascists aren’t people, and I think it’s dangerous to believe that
I hope there are enough people on the anti-fascist side who would like to save violence for closer to the last resort, so I don’t have to live in a war zone
Non-violent responses can shut their shit down, which means we wouldn’t be “doing nothing about it” as people keep commenting
It’s much harder and much less rewarding to do this the hard way
It really seems like the nazi killing is a fantasy since I don’t ever hear about it being done, and no one in this thread will comfort us with the news they took out one of them for all of us, risking their life and their freedom
If nazis are a lost cause (as you seem to be saying), then why not focus on engaging non-nazis in becoming better people?
Kill their ideas, save the humans.
if theres anything human left of them. I know you said we shouldnt dehumanize them, but these people have done that to themselves.
That still doesn’t justify murder for what is in the photo.
Armed Nazis are valid military targets.
They should be eliminated immediately with a focus on avoiding collateral damage.
In this case (Americans on American soil), wouldn’t capture be preferred? We do that with enemy combatants all the time. If elimination is better, why?
Incarceration costs a lot and bullets are cheap.
Are those the only criteria for this being the better choice?
They’re no longer humans.
Please explain how I am supposed to tell the difference between you (suggesting murder) and them (implying murder).
Or if you’re a right-wing violence-obsessed troll, fuck off with the nazis.
One is based on overt flag waving, genocide loving, pure ideologynof hatred being paraded in the streets as a direct threat to other citizens.
The other is self defense against that threat.
Seems like an obvious distinction to me.
How is killing (rather than stopping) these specific people self-defense?
You talk like a cop.
Shut their shit down. Just maybe don’t jump immediately to violence.
You’re on the wrong side here.
Okay. Kill me, too?
No, you’re just being a “both sides bad” style centrist, so the proper move is to ignore your terrible opinion.
Well, I’m relieved you know how to draw a line somewhere.

That’s not how it works.
Okay.
No.
