took me 500 fucking years to be able to post this one
So many people get so overly upset about Everette’s violent tendancies, missing the point that it’s art, and it’s basically a collective vent piece. Everette says and does the things so many people have fantasized about to cope with obnoxious and rude people.
It’s art. Just enjoy the catharsis.
I’ve always taken it in the spirit of the Three Stooges and circus slapstick. But I get people not enjoying it.

I think society back then had way different norms around violence. They used to hit kids for misbehaving.
Yeah and just 50 years prior you could still challenge a man to a duel to the death just for insulting your hat.
Back then? Hell just had a co worker tell me she beat her kids if they get out of line.
It’s much much more rare. At least in the west.
