United States | News & Politics@midwest.social•Trump calls Hasan Piker a terrible liability for Democrats and labels him communistEnglish
4·21 days agoSounds like Trump is trying to intimidate Hasan into either joining his party or shutting up.
But then again, everyone should disregard what Trump has to say.
I do like that they have to find something that may not be a usual tourist attraction. I do wish there were more challenges they could choose (because there are some that I believe that been up there since day one), or maybe all the challenges shuffle each day except a couple they’ve chosen.
Hour-long episodes are a bonus.

4·1 month agoAs prime minister, he will make parliament “sit day and night” until all legislation is passed, forcing it to sit all through summer for seven days a week if necessary.
Legally, I don’t even think the prime minster can do that (force them to “sit day and night” and “all through summer”). But then again, look at the US to what is currently legal verus what has happened. Even if he does become PM, as long as the party isn’t the majority, they can’t force parliament to sit as long as they want.

Ask Experienced Devs@programming.dev•Best resources to learn GenAI workflows for the job hunt?English
21·2 months agoThere was a question in this community that might get you to think otherwise "Has your company lost its mind with AI, too?" (non-Cloudflare link at https://suppo.fi/post/11441199).
Seriously if you want to learn GenAI (or AI) workflows, start using them yourself in your personal life. That way you can honestly try it out and maybe even create something. If you do follow a tutorial, don’t create and publish exactly what they do (as everyone else has done that).

71·2 months agoIf I were him (which I’m not), I wouldn’t appear before any political panels after what they did to him the first thing. All the panellists want is sound bites to make him look bad.

24·2 months agoThere are multiple ways that I know of (depending on what works for you): Bypass Paywalls Clean (extension and an adblock filter), archive.today (see Wikipedia for the most accurate URL’s), sometimes the full article is available on archive.org, there’s also the option of searching for the article title in quotes and finding another site that has reposted the entire article (sometimes it’s MSN, and other times it’s a site you’ve never read of).

movies@piefed.social•‘Spider-Man’ Beats ‘Avengers: Endgame’ as ‘Brand New Day’ Climbs to $360 Million, the Biggest Opening Weekend in Box Office HistoryEnglish
41·2 months agoThey are comparing the Avengers movie that came out in 2019 (pre-pandemic) with a movie that came out this past weekend, I don’t think it’s fair to compare them.
In 2019 movies were cheaper ($9.16, compared to starting from almost $12), people (more or less) knew how to act in a theatre, and such. And today everything is more expensive, meaning people will go out to movies less.
The last spider man movie that was pre MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) was 2014. Spider man movies have always done well in the box office, the last one (no way home, in 2021) did $1.910 billion in the box office.

Yep both of those are true. Musk did say he bought Twitter to be an arena for free speech, and that the Twitter account was suspended.
