The way I see it, being selfish isn’t inherently bad – there’s nothing wrong with looking out for number 1, provided it’s not at the expense of others. There’s a difference between being selfish and being greedy, of course. The latter is a pretty bad character trait, IMO.

Ahh nice. I am 100% a World baby (don’t judge!) but I bet if I had discovered MH earlier than World I’d have definitely been hooked.
6·1 year agoHaha, I used to do this (throw away the letters). Then one day my ISP shut off my internet for 24 hours (Verizon FIOS), so I got a VPN.
According to Steam:
Monster Hunter Rise, 754 hours
Back 4 Blood, 616 hours
Monster Hunter: World, 581 hours
Cyberpunk 2077, 470 hours
Hitman 3, 288 hours
Unfortunately when it comes to gaming specifically, Reddit is an amazing source of consersation and discussion that outlets like Youtube or Twitch simply do not offer.
But the more I use Reddit lately, the more it really does feel like they’re trying to kill off conversation. Like, the fact that you have to log in now to sort comment types, is a big red flag. I understand that people who spend most of their time on Reddit reading through comments are people who are not seeing Ads, but it still sucks.
That being said, if Reddit does eventually shift away from being a place for community, discussion, etc – then I have hope at least that the fediverse or something like it will take its place.

Yes I do still use reddit, although only to check specific Subreddits. When it comes to mindlessly scrolling through content, however, the Fediverse has replaced Reddit 100% of the time.

13·1 year agoI signed up for TTRPG network, not realizing I also can access Lemmy through it! To be honest I don’t know a lot about how the fediverse works at all but so far I like what I’m seeing. Reminds me of reddit circa 2009. In fact, I think this is going to replace my use of Reddit altogether, as it definitely serves the purpose of providing endless content to scroll to.
The weight is sign of reliability. I always go for reliability.
What specifically do you like about Biden, then? Honestly curious.
