Agreed, especially when they betray you and your trust. Had that happen to me before 😭

It’s very hard for them to do so, they’ll usually do it for people with multiple accounts in the same browser doing it, but they don’t bother with any of the bigger methods. Doesn’t make them look as good and powerful to normies.
That’s how it’s supposed to be, but anyone actually aware of how Reddit does things knows that they’re actually laughably bad at enforcing their rules. They only do it to look good and convince normies that it’s hard and that they’ll get caught (I don’t know why, seems like preaching to the choir, since normies aren’t interested in this shit but whatever).
Yeah, I do have friends who I play online games with. Though I still don’t speak because I’m still very self-conscientious about my voice, and I know it’s stupid, but it’s just how I feel. The only people I do talk with in Voice chat or phone calls are the friends I know in real life.
That is way too expensive for a product like this, that also might not work for its intended use (if their nose isn’t fully covered like in the picture, I’d expect the screaming to leak out quite a bit. Might’ve worked for my idea of using it for call privacy (speaking softly) but still that’s way too much for something that’ll probably only be useful for that niche use-case.
I don’t speak on Voice chat though, mainly because many gamers online are racist (and sexist) pigs. Back in the day I did used to use TeamSpeak to talk to others in games and they both be racist toward me, and make fun of my voice saying I sound like a girl.
So, text only from now on, if reading is too hard especially with spelling mstakes if I’m doing it quickly in game, fuck them.
I do think this could have some use for me though, particularly with private calls which I’d prefer other people to not hear the other side of, though it’s still very hard to justify it since it just looks way too silly.
Why do we want to save these people from bans? They need to be removed from the community, if from society altogether. Better for them to say it out loud than to think it quietly, otherwise these people will quietly ruin our lives one step at a time and we won’t realize it as they’re doing it.
Yeah I heard amazon had to take down a lot of them.
I saw a good amount of the AI gen ones when trying to look up these already, it’s really bad. Probably only going to get worse in the future.
I bet they are insanely poisonous, but maybe they aren’t. I’m not confident enough in my identification to say if they are for sure.
You could also just use a VGA or DVI to HDMI on a compatible card which supports DOS, you’ll have to pump in external sound but that’s already the case on Most Dos machines who’s soundcard is external, and since DOS and its software library doesn’t exactly support modern soundcard standards.
Sorry let me clarify, when I say unlicensed I meant that they are using Google Play services without Google’s permission or certification.
Even that is pretty limited since it can be disabled, and even if they changed it to not be officially able to be disabled by users, ROM makers can still disable it in various ways, and since their problem is TV boxes, including those shady unlicensed ones, I’m betting those would simply disable the feature via their unlicensed Android Roms.
Edit: Clarification, when I said unlicensed I didn’t mean Android itself, I mostly meant their use of Google play store and services which Google does require permission to use legitimately in your own Android product. Obviously it’s super easy to get them without google’s permission, it just won’t be licensed by them though if a company does that. And many TV boxes you buy cheap these days do indeed do that.
I’ve also seen people collectively losing their shit in the Terraria Steam forums for the past few weeks because 1.4.5 will remove the ♂ and ♀ symbols from the character creator. Many of the people who are angry are claiming that Terraria “went woke” and it’s “gonna go broke”. It’s only fairly recently started to die down, but I imagine it’ll pick back up again when the update drops.
Yeah these people really are inecredibly delusional if they think games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Terraria are going broke.
Ah, yeah. That’ll definitely do it. Not that much that can be done to protect it from that (maybe a case like the dbrand Killswitch would save it, not sure, not about to test it on mine).
At least it’s relatively easy to repair, and I’ve also heard valve will accept repairs as well.
I agree, it’s really not great. Gender should be defined by how the person feels and identifies, not by how they dress.
This is why I always say to keep a screen protector on your Steam Deck, it can reduce the likelihood that the screen will be shattered in this manner. Plus if you have the standard model you gain the benefits of an anti-glare screen with an Anti-glare screen protector.
This is false, they will continue to argue content with minorities is “woke” and “is gonna go broke” even if it is widely successful and makes makes millions.
They aren’t well known for being logical or competent, many are extremely high on cope and they believe that because they wish the producer of such content will go broke that they actually will.
You’d probably need to monitor the computer’s network for a long time to get a detection, also something important is that if you’re on a System with AMT disabled/not present, you won’t ever get any, since those IntelME versions come without any network stack whatsoever.
In fact that’s one of the primary reasons why I haven’t tried it yet, almost none of the Intel computers I own even have the Intel AMT component enabled in the IntelME firmware, meaning they just won’t do it, like ever. The only one I have which supports AMT is an old Laptop with a slow AF intel Centrino, it’s so slow that it struggles with XFCE alone and no other apps running, I don’t know if I could use this computer long enough to get any readings from it because it’s just too slow to do anything really.
If you want to try it out I’d suggest building a copy of IntelMEtool and testing your Intel Machines to see if they have AMT enabled or present before trying yourself.
That’s mainly just the way the backend and UI handles the post, the thread and replies are still there, admins and mods can still see it, it just errors for users. We could potentially modify the Lemmy software (or it could be changed in an update) to allow viewing the deleted thread with the post saying
