Besides the obvious so called “weapon platforms” I think my fav specific combo is Trinity with a gas paris prime incarnon. Gas can’t do much against armour and Trinity has an armour strip on her link. The problem is the link strips only 3 enemy so regular aoe weapons (that can’t kill armoured enemies) are able to kill only 3 enemies per shot. Yet the gas clouds persist after the shot so you have that satisfying chain reaction of sorts.

Is that the best build I’ve ever played? Not really. Can I do half an hour sp survival using it? I sure can and it’s almost chill (except ridiculously short duration of Trinity’s abilities).

As to the weapon platforms - I quite like nourish wisp, can slap any decent weapon and it’ll become a lot better, roar hildryn is just absurd with full strip and double damage from roar.

  • Uhm, I’m sorry but are you Pablo or someone else from the team to say what you’re saying with such confidence? If in your experience companions do insignificant damage it doesn’t mean you was doing it right.

As to the whole “limitations” tirade you have up there - it’s already limited by the fact that you need to forma your stuff, you can’t just put everything you want form the get go - you have to invest resources and time to do so. OP did exactly that - all of the slots are forma’ed yet he simply can not fill up all the slots because of the mod drain limitations which is just silly. I get the point that if I want a companion to have two separate builds for two separate scenarios I might not be able to fit both on a single companion and I might need a second one, but that’s not the case there - OP just can’t have the build he wants and no amount of investment will fix that.

  • It won’t solve much imo. Trinity is just a little old in her design and that shows (simple effect without much interactions), at the time we had no adaptation so Trinity’s blessing was one of the few sources of DR so it made sense for it to have a short duration for more engagement. As the time passed the designs have evolved and nowadays supports in general have a lot longer base durations. Harrow can recast his rotation once every 1.5 minutes or so, Wisp has no need to recast her stuff whatsoever and so on, yet Trinity is still adhere to an old design which feels a little forced and clunky with a 25-30 seconds rotation.

As a result her gameplay is 4-3-2 into 25 seconds of action into 4-3-2 on repeat and pressing an ability doesn’t have much to it. You can’t really play without 4 and 3 active, you need them both at the same time, and you don’t have any conditions to press it. For example Harrow needs shields to have longer duration on his buff, or you can hold his 4 to save someone if you feel there might be a need.

I like her for solo steel path stuff. She’s got an armour strip, solid dr, energy sustain, heal to get out of pickle and a subsume slot for a damage buff. Is she the best for that? Not even close. Yet she’s fun to play and I only wish DE gave her some more base duration on the abilities.

And to add on the “the second the market opens” part - landlords can buy houses even before they are fully built and liveable which is not really an option for a person with no house because such an investment leaves you with no place to live and no money (mostly).

I’m not saying all landlords do so but what you described happens quite often. Landlords buy a property when they already have a place to live in and then rent out said property to someone who has none. And now said someone can’t own a property because there’s none on the market as all are bought out so all what is left to do for those people is to rent. It’s an oversimplification of course and there’s a lot of nuance to it but the general message still stands - if a person with a house buys another house to rent it out then one less house remains to be bought for people with no house.
