Have u seen the broken obelisk tho it kinda slaps.
i dont think u understand what death of the artist is. Also what makes post modern art art is that it was made to be art, the process of creation MAKES it art, the art IS the display, and creation of it regardless of the piece itself thats kinda what the whole fucking movement was about, I despise post modernism but fuck atleast criticize it from a point of understand not from a point of complete ignorance.
its the same fucking thing with Lincoln people often say he was the one good president, some especially delusional people even say he was a fucking revolutionary. But he was out there saying shit like “If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it…”, and he wanted to bring all the salver politicians back into power after the civil war after a tiny percent of the white male population of the confederacy voted to go back to the union, man was as much a monster as every other amerikkkan president.
sounds like they are trying to fight the negative aspects of it, as long as sex workers themselves have a leading potion in stuff like this i think it cant be negative. human trafficking and abuses within the industry is only able to be so prevalent because it exists in the shadows and in a grey zone if not outright the black market. whatever u think of sex work and its place in future societies and its validity as work, sex workers are workers and they are some of the most oppressed and badly treated workers im glad for anything that improves their position.
capitalism became what it is today because that is its natural course, u cant keep capitalism from monopoly and rent seeking. Eventually someone will win when there is competition.
What can u expect from an institution built with opium trade money.
Yeah, i know, i read it cuz i was curious what their definition of the global north was and what percent of the population it made up. And i would agree that the imperialist dynamics described are super important but in the post the simple fact that the global south does 90% of the labor is presented as significant in its own right which what i dont get. I mean it is significant in a way but its just as significant as pointing out that the vast vast majority of the population is in the global south, idk seems too simple to even point out.
I thought about how to phrase my original comment quite a bit and i was going to include some of the fact u quoted as things which are quite significant compared to what is said in the post but decided against because it because it kinda sounded like i was dismissing imperialism as relevant but maybe i should have just to avoid this exact responses.
I dont really understand what u are getting at here the global south does 90% of the labor in the world cuz thats where around 90% of the working population lives. This on its own doesnt really mean anything.
im sure its an influence/inspiration but i think generally people draw from their own stories and folklore, so if thats what u meant i would guess it wont have a big impact.
they have been, a lot of game companies have released their games officially in China over the last 5 or so years. They usually have to get localized because most people in China dont speak english and often they have to remove skulls or blood from the game.
i think the fact that militias are legal is a lot less useful than it appears, when the black panthers did just that the government made gun control more stringent, and eventually they just murdered and assassinated most of their leaders and arrested their members anyways. When it really gets down to it the liberal state will break its own principles to keep the “peace”.
the thing u are missing is that white supremacists and the like are not terrorist they are lone wolfs and they commit isolated incidents rather than terrorist attacks
what i think is more likely is that like of lot of liberal communities they have a lists of communities that they automatically ban anyone who is subscribed to them, and that list is mostly leftist communities
maybe, but no the fauna was not already here a lot of animals were brought over last century as exotic pets and zoo exhibits which were lost or thrown out and now they are destroying the actual local fauna.
shouldn’t it be the other way around?
like i said i dont know that u are wrong just that its not that simple, people are willing to migrate for a reason things are hard and these people generally send back money to their countries for their families so idk whats best and i guess i was a bit snarky about it sorry for that. As for Haiti i think they are in as cover (the humanitarian rhetoric makes more sense if not all the countries are outright enemies of the us) or as a response the other pressures could be they are included primarily to bring more labor. As far as i know a lot of people have been faking requirements to bring people over thru this program since the start so i would guess thats purely an excuse, if it was punishment for what happen in Haiti then its weird the other countries are included, so i think its the pressure from anti immigration people, the number of people who have been migrating is very large, but its not like amerikkkans have ever been above collective punishment.
just to be clear they are putting a (temporary) stop to a program the purpose of which is brain drain and bolstering americas cheapest and most exploitable labor force, a program design to make the lives of the people left behind as bad as possible and to destabilize these countries, and u think that is a bad thing?
its an interesting take, idk if u are wrong but i think u dont understand what u are actually talking about.
ive been seeing that stupid alliance video and i have been avoiding it cuz it looks like its gonna be pure brain rot
