Instead of the corporatization of storytelling, we should be letting artists tell the stories they want to tell. We should engage with our media more critically and stop chasing nostalgia.

Sounds like they should be doing some materials R&D while switching to renewable energy and conserving oil for materials. Imagine if we actually worked to solve problems instead of make profit.

The last time I did a deep dive on the research, they estimated somewhere around 3% of the population had some form of chimerism, and I calculated my personal chances around 6%. And then I did some family research and anecdotal evidence pushed that number much higher, including being a single born twin.

One of the articles I recall postulated the number is much higher than 3% due to the condition only being confirmed or discovered through rare circumstances that result in multiple genetic testing.

The oil industry already only exists to support the oil industry, if I recall the majority of fuel usage is just moving oil and fuel around. Renewables are ready to replace oil, but greedy people are refusing to let go while they squeeze every last profit.

A decade back I had a coworker tell me about her white upper middle class brother in law serving time in prison for benefit fraud. I literally cannot stress to you enough how many of these people think it’s ok to lie on government forms to get more money.

I just want to get rich enough to run a non profit apartment complex for my marginalized community.

My grandmother would tell each of her grown adult children a different time to show up in order to get everyone there on time.

All those programs? A drop in the war bucket. We could have spent MORE on those programs healthcare and infrastructure, kept the tax breaks for billionaires and still have a bigger war bucket than the next few countries on the list.
