I get a lot of weird audio issues in linux too. I don’t remember having those issues in linux when I was younger, but I’m often getting weird audio artifacts when playing games on Mint.

That website seems really nice! I wish it had some more recipes though. I was trying to figure out how to make rye bread recently and every recipe felt wildly different, probably half of them were AI written. It gets so frustrating finding anything online these days.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Civilization 7 will get 'one of the most requested features' since launch: The option to play as one civ from start to finishEnglish
5·2 months agoIts for Civ 7. They were trying a new thing for that one, and it makes you change civilizations twice throughout the eras. It was a pretty unpopular choice, but honestly the UI was awful and the gameplay felt pretty half-assed as well.
Its been a while since I’ve used it, and I don’t remember it being great, but more than enough to convert a SVG into a PDF reliably.
They work great in combination. I used to generate report pages by generating SVG with ruby scripts and then convert to PDF with inkscape and then use pdftk to assemble the pages and add stamps where needed. :)
Was just generally annoyed at microsoft, but couldn’t leave because I play a lot of PC games. Then I found out these days gaming works relatively okay in linux so I switched.

81·4 months agoIts hard to care about recycling when global warming is probably going to kill us instead. That and it sounded like a lot of the recycling companies actually just dump it in third world country landfills… I still do it, but I get why some people don’t care.

Great, glad to hear that Mint will be okay. I don’t mind the slower kernel/driver updates. :)
2 quick followup questions:
- Should I set my filesystems to something other than ext4? I know some games in windows I feel like would benefit from a faster filesystem, but I don’t know a whole lot about it.
- If I upgrade my videocard (I’m using a NVidia GTX something something), would it be better to go for an AMD card? Do they have better linux driver support?
