I stopped listening to CoF after Nymphetamine, but I’ve always appreciated their commitment to the gothic, sort of Halloween schtick. I listened to them before I even knew what black metal was, so they were definitely a gateway band for me.

A simple combination of Spotify, searching for recommendations, as in “artists similar to _____,” checking out AllMusic for a brief overview and maybe which album to start with.

We joke that you can never too much garlic, and I love garlic, but I’ve legit made a dish before that had too much of it lol. It was dan dan noodles with raw garlic in the sauce. You know it’s too much when the house smells like garlic and the tear-inducing spiciness is coming not from the chili oil, but the garlic itself.

The entire Dinosaur Jr. discography! I’d describe them as lo-fi Gen X indie slacker rock with catchy poppy melodies and imaginative guitar hero solos. They’ve got hardcore roots, so you get some of that with their earlier albums. Great lyrics, never too cliché. One of the few bands I’ve listened to that’s still churning out consistently good albums while maintaining pretty much the same sound through the years.

Raiders Steelers went about as expected. Rooted for AOC cuz he’s such a likeable guy but he’s not the answer. I just started laughing after the fumble at the goal line, you can’t make that shit up. RIP this season, I’ve made my peace with it lol. Bring on the tank! 🏴‍☠️
