I think it’s more similar to the red scare in the way that people are trying to get people fired/deplatformed that hasn’t really happened since except maybe post 9/11. Although it is for sure genocide denialism.

My money is on Hasan + co getting permabanned by the end of the year. It seems like the liberal-nazi Reddit troll farms will actually have the power to bully people off of Twitch as long as advertisers aren’t willing to advertise on media that opposes the state of Israel. Some of them will probably do fine on platforms like YouTube, but the Palestine version of the red scare, is alive and well.

Sidebar there definitely needs to be a term coined for the anti-Palestinian witch hunts that have been going on, I’ve seen “the new McCarthyism”, but that doesn’t really do it justice, and the green scare is already taken describing the US crackdown on environmental protestors in the 2000s. Maybe the “Palestine Panic”, that’s the best I’ve got.

Today the Youtuber BadEmpanda released a video titled “Genocide: The Dumbest Crime (Why There’s No Bosnian Genocide)” and the premise is more or less that having the technical classification of Genocide often has been used to take away from discussion of the actual atrocities and instead debate whether something is technically Genocide or not. And obviously any reasonable person would consider this a Genocide, but it did make me think of how ridiculous something like Kamala talking about her opinion on whether killing at the very absolute minimum 40,000 people fits a definition instead of having to justify why she supports the deaths of 40,000 people.

Well hopefully even if he doesn’t do anything, people get together support them while they are banned, it’s really just the Palestine version of the red scare, they are only being disciplined for being pro Palestinian, I don’t think the higher ups at twitch are dumb enough to think they are actually antisemitic or whatever they are being accused of.

He could at least cover all of Frogan + co’s Twitch salaries for the month they are banned similar to a strike fund.
