I think the sticking point would be the “hard [people] make good times” assertion. Hard (read: traumatized) people tend to be assertive and aggressive in positions of leadership. While that certainly can create change for the better, that change is far from guaranteed.

This is a great meme, but I wouldn’t confuse it for serious etymology.

In the US you can call yourself nearly anything. Our protected titles are usually very specific:

Medical Doctor, Professional Engineer, Certified Professional Accountant, and so on.

Unfortunately for people like me, the Republicans are relatively effective at doing what they say they will. Even though the current administration is horrible, and incompetent, and absolutely dropping the ball at every turn, I have to give Trump an A for effort at least. Actually I think the missing punctuation mark is a colon. Then it would say Be pet: gay dogs, which means that “gay dogs” is a clarification of which kind of pet we are being instructed to be.
