It’s a really cool concept and their execution of it is top notch! :D

Can’t argue with the fact that it partially is true.

That’s crazy. As in, amazing! Love etymology! :)
Sometimes I think you young people are just making this shit up. Not that I didn’t laugh.

Wow! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this! If there is any truth at all to what it says on the Etsy page, it should be from around the 1950’s maximum. I figured it’s not the work of anybody prominent in the crafting circles, since, as you said, it all feels quite simplistic. My mother just pointed out that the horn itself could be from “simple” domesticated cow/bull. No offense, dear cows. 🐄🐃.

I shall look for an appraiser. 👍

Thanks! Yeah, I’ll leave it at that now and just enjoy that it works. I’ve recently been studying the very basics just out of curiosity, but when they started to talk about earth being a giant sink for electrons, they lost me (for now). I’ll definitely pick it up again next month. 😊

I literally don’t know what to do about my Arch install complaining about my .network files having potentially unpredictable names or whatever… 😂

I second this. If you can deal with those microconnections to an NTP server, search for how to enable NTP. On a systemd Linux system it should be a timedatectl option, I think.

Sic! Thanks for your wisdom! :) 🔌

Comparing undesired paternity to undesired pregnancy is TIGHT.

Quantum partner.

I just found a “noise reduction cable” from Noctua. It ads 51 Ohms. I have no idea how to calculate what the new voltage would be on a 12V 2A DC power supply ( https://www.noctua.at/en/products/nv-ps1/specifications ), but Noctua’s website says that the cable lowers fan speeds, so I’ll give it a try.

But in all seriousness, I’ve been using Tidal through USB Audio Player with an Audioquest DAC on an Android phone for the past five years and listening to music with this setup feels like an effing privilege. Would I have chosen today, I might have gone with Qobuz because it’s a European product, but at this point, as long as I don’t find out that the people at Tidal are monsters, I don’t think I will switch to anything else.

I guess I have to try. It either stalls and doesn’t turn at all, or I get a comfortable breeze.

Bookmarked!

Thanks! That lead me to discover this: https://www.noctua.at/en/products/nv-ps1/specifications Which I guess would have the fan blast away at full speed, but maybe I could force a potentiometer in between somewhere somehow…?
Or, I just go the easy way, as you said. I just hate to know that the Wraith is sitting in my closet, unused… XD

Right! I have no reason for it to run art full speed on a Pi anyway. I’m leaning towards buying a 5V USB adapter.
That’s awesome knowledge! Thanks for sharing and enlightening me! :D
