Ketoacidosis for the weightloss win! But also death. That said ketogenesis works pretty well for weight loss so cutting out carbs can help cut fat - but loosing that fast you may end up with loose skin to such an extent that the aesthetic weight loss isn’t worth it.

You could argue the Soviets already did this back in the day with reverse engineering western tech, and again, some Chinese manufacturing today.

I’m using Medtronic with tube and still got a problem like that once or twice a year… I found the best patch for sticking the CGM in place (bit smaller than your pods) is kinesiology tape, 7.5cm wide, long as you need, stretches well, dries quickly, lasts me 6 days between changes, costs $5 for a 3 month+ supply.

Not sure how we get to being better but talking about it has to be a good start. Thanks for sharing.

Wow that’s heavy man. Thanks for sharing, it doesn’t sound like fun and I must assume it’s always been that way for you growing up, in which case kudos for recognising the negative behaviour. Do you and your brother ever talk about your mother’s behaviour towards you? I wonder if there’s some solace you can both find in sympathy and support. I don’t know that your mother’s behaviour is likely to change but it may be quicker to change how it affects you both (and the second order effects you wrote about).

Anyways, you sound like a thoughtful individual so you’re going to be fine, we all just hope you have the best journey on the way there.
