Mattel really did have great box art. Shit controllers, but great cover art and decent graphics for the time. I remember when my buddy got the voice module and B17 Bomber. When that thing talked, it was like magic.

There is a lot to love about living in WV (politics aside) but antenna TV reception is not one of them, sadly. Even moreso since broadcasting went all-digital. Signals don’t travel well around the mountains. I’d go back to an antenna in a heartbeat if I could get decent reception. I’m only about 15 miles away from a couple of the towers and can’t even pick them up without a really huge roof antenna.
I loved it when it came out and would definitely play through it again, but I’m not sure prettier graphics and a few tweaks is worth $60 to me. Since Nintendo doesn’t let their first party games ever get down to a reasonable cost after a while, I’ll skip this one, I think.
If you’ve never played it, though, it’s a really fun game.
Boy, the AI was drinking when it made that summary.
I’ve never heard anyone call the OG Enterprise crew “flat.” It’s definitely a 60s show, but it’s great. Just have fun with it.
Just finished this a couple of days ago. The ending is a bit abrupt, I thought, but I sure did enjoy the ride. I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.
Practice. #rimshot
A Doctor Demento classic!
Seconded by this West Virginian.
It’s not bad. I think they did the best they could with the cast that is left. Character designs aren’t great, but the ships and backgrounds are great. Inconsequential story, but still a welcome visit with old friends.
TIL they have Burger Kings in India. I’m guessing for the non-Hindu population? Genuinely surprised.
The main current Star Trek title has been a lot of fun, as has Defiant. The ST:TMP follow-up book hasn’t been as good. Sometimes the characters don’t look much like the actors. Still, IDW has been doing a good job overall with Trek, so I’m absolutely going to give this new one a chance.
I’m doing my part!
