1·5 months agothis looks interesting, but my god, please try to use better mics when making these videos. im really straining to understand what is being said…
Okay, yeah, that got me interested. I haven’t been much into the RE movies since the first one (except for the occasional ‘so bad it’s good’ one) so it’s nice to see this take. I did do more than one ‘wtf’ face while watching the trailer, so I’m hopeful.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Helper application for Linux distributions serving as a kind of "entry point" for running and integrating AppImagesEnglish
31·6 months agoI agree, this is a very handy app, and I felt very similarly when I first discovered it. That said, I’ve had some issues with AppImageInstaller that I haven’t had with GearLever, it’s nearest equivalent. That’s the beauty of Linux FOSS though, so many choices :)

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?English
2·6 months agoI played all the way through Resident Evil 8 on my steam deck, while doing a train tour around Romania this week. The game aesthetics hit way harder when you can see so many of its influences right in front of you.

2·6 months agoI don’t have anything to add to this list as of yet, but I just wanted to say thanks for posting this. I recently did 1, and will do 2/3 again soon. I kinda rushed through 2 to get to 3 back in the day, so I want to take my time with it this time around.

1·6 months agowell, just to be clear, im not shilling for antrhopic here, most AI companies are evil little shits ruining the planet, but I have to admit it has its use cases that are legitimate, and coding is definitely one of them.
that said, once i have it installed in the terminal i just point it at the folder i want to organize, and tell it in layman’s terms what i want it to do, like, “Organize the files and folders into a system that is human-readable and generally makes sense” or I’ll tell it to organize into a specific folder structure, and it will scan all the file and folder names and write scripts (and execute them) to re-arrange them as needed.
it’s accuracy is shockingly high, but it does miss some things, so always double check it’s work.
if there’s any doubt, i tell it to put duplicates and other things to get rid of in a “_trash” folder for me to look through before i commit to deleting them.

12·6 months agoI’ve recently been playing with claude code via the terminal and it’s literally saving me 100’s of hours organizing all my ttrpg pdf’s and other media. I’d suggest trying that with the johnny decimal system, that sounds like a great way to organize things with claude code (claude code requires a min $20/mo sub, but it’s worth it IMO).

I use the starbond brand ‘super fast thin high performance super glue’ and it works really well, but damn, you really don’t want to get that on your fingers, it’s a pain to remove.
I haven’t used it on big prints, but for small models, tabletop terrain, and fixing miniatures it’s been great.
