I agree with what you say except the last part about the entire concept of life being capitalist. It is not. All life in the natural world is in equilibrium. There is give and take but all work in tandem. Parasites are the capitalists, taking until there is nothing left to give and ultimately killing their host.

Mine is the 23rd. Arguably the worst day to have a birthday on because people are irritable, broke, impatient, stressed to the max. Traffic sucks as last minute shoppers buzz around in desperation. No holiday spirit, just pure rage and stress.
That’s why I celebrate my birthday on July 1st now. Canada Day for me, so I get fireworks, warmth and happiness.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Keep these Stupid American Trucks out of EuropeEnglish

This method teaches empathy, which the world needs a lot more of.

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmy.world•Device hoarding is costing the economy.
4·21 days agoIf it was a work requirement, it should have been provided by work. Employers passing their own costs down to employees needs to stop.
UBI would never work with rich people in the world. The unfettered American form of a capitalist system is incompatible with life because the rich will never stop trying to take ALL the money, better world be damned. The system must be changed first.

Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•MAGA supporter feeling gaslitEnglish
2·1 month agoPeople who are below average intelligence take a lot longer time process new information and tend to hang onto myths much longer than smart people. Smart people can adapt to new information whereas these folks just can’t. They are susceptible to being gaslit because they can’t think critically. Personally, I don’t think people below a certain intelligence level should be permitted to vote.

Best explanation I’ve seen for these bandages over bruises is he is receiving an infusion intravenously every two weeks of a type of medication for dementia, like Leqembi or Kisunla. Patients on these drugs require regular MRIs to monitor brain swelling or bleeding. The drugs cause side effects of fatigue, cardiovascular changes, dizziness, etc. It doesn’t stop dementia but it does slow it down.
