@bruhbeans RNG. Also “fun” is subjective. Some of it is just cultural too. Mastodon has a certain “vibe" that has persisted since its early days while Lemmy’s vibe is more imported from the more fun/wild days of Reddit.
@claim_arguably My favorite personal site is https://henry.codes/. It definitely counts as “indie” but since it’s made by a professional designer it doesn’t quite have that old web feel if you know what I mean. I think my favorite in that style would be https://anhvn.com/.
