Works on Swiss networks, tested Salt and Sunrise. I even got 5G mobile data speeds, ~800Mbps (on pair with Android phone), even though the Plasma settings shows only 4G/3G/2G mode. I guess this may be 5G NSA.
Overall it’s astounding. I just bought 6+ to start porting but it’s already almost ready, woohoo! There are some glitches but are minor as the basic functionality is there:
I had a strange issue flashing the catcrafts image. It turned out my usb was aggressively dropping the power, turning it off let the script proceed
echo -1 | sudo tee /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend
and of course KDE network manager was messing up with the usb network step so I had provide static configuration for it - thanks @TheMightyCat for providing the comment inside the script
a little progress, but still unusable. At first I couldn’t connect to 5G, but getting close to the router, ~1m, I managed to connect. The download speed maxed at 5Mbps. 2.4G speed maxed at 200Mbps. Then I moved the phone very close to the router, ~10 cm, the download on 5G jumped to ~120Mbps. The issue seems to be on a very weak signal reception. I don’t remember how well it worked in Android (I can try re-flashing it to test) on this phone, but Samsung A52 gets ~400Mbps on 5G, ~80Mbps on 2.4G in any place in my apartment showing full WiFi signal.
PS. flashed Android, at my desk ~750Mbps, close to the router ~1500Mbps, on 5G.
