I remember playing the Avatar game (the blue kind, not the airbender kind) on PS3 and at one point you have to decide in a crucial moment to continue playing as the Navi or the space soldiers, who are essentially the bad guys. So it could be that Carole only had one day filming Interstellar Song Contest but had more filming days for the finale. June wouldn’t be there for the finale filming, so she only had the chance to meet Carole that one day.
