And yet he’s still statistically tired with Harris. The old man who’s a senile, malignant narcissist, who has lots of criminal charges, has been impeached twice, is now an overt Nazi, and and who failed spectacularly in his first term (among many other negative aspects of his record and personality)… is tied in the polls with a healthy, intelligent, relatively young, middle of the political spectrum candidate who thrashed him in their only political debate.
Sure, Harris has some political baggage and isn’t the perfect candidate. But holy shit, at this stage he should be trailing her by 30+%. The fact that he’s not shows that this country is in deep deep political trouble.
It’s a symptom of the two party system. You vote for “your guy” even if he’s a literal corpse. Let’s get some RCV and proportional representation in here and we’ll see that effect go away almost immediately.
