Because Edge is the default browser on the most widespread operating system. If you’re using Chrome, you very likely already switched once and are better informed than someone encountering the message on Edge.
Whether you use Microsoft spyware or Google spyware, I wouldn’t really consider either choice as “better informed” user.
If you want debloated chromium… you can use chromium. Then there is Firefox, Brave, and bunch more as privacy oriented.
Chrome have literally a monopoly what are you talking about ? Out of the two, edge (literally chrome but Microsoft Spyware instead of Google) is better just for the AI stuff. People who are used to chrome just default to install it because for some reason they think transferring their bookmarks and passwords is some impossible magic
