If Jews weren’t in danger - real material danger, not from chants about Palestine - then Israel has no justification for its existence. They want the antisemitism because it means Jews must flee their homes, and if Israel is criticized, then it would be a less attractive option for the fleeing Jews.
Notice how they pour tens of millions into pushing anti BDS laws because the movement is “antisemitic,” yet there is not a peep about the Israel lobby trying to push for laws criminalizing neo nazism. One movement threatens Israel, the other movement allows Israel to expand.
Its important to note that they have been a little more hesitant to have uncritical support for Ukraine since the war due to their relations with Russia and because they can’t just be blind towards the neo nazism 24/7 like their western allies.
