These people are just racists, right? The 15 minute hysteria is fear they’d have to live near and interact with brown people. The screaming about school choice is trying to get segregation back. The shoplifting thing is just racism too.
I’m absolutely certain that’s the angle chuds are going for. “Don’t blame capitalism, blame brown people.” If you poke chuds long enough that’s what they’ll say. They’ll use distracting language like “high trust society” or they’ll say other countries have universal healthcare due to smaller, more insular populations. But I know what they mean. Ask any chud alive why Japan has such a low violent crime rate, and tell them to not mince words. Ask them to be honest.
The fifteen minute city concept is threatening to the right, so like with so many terms they are diluting their meaning to blunt their effect. They did this with “urban”, they are doing it now with the term “woke”, it’s a linguistic sabotage.
Everything about being a right winger seems like an increasingly elaborate language game to construct plausible deniability for racists. It doesn’t fool us but it does seem to make liberals pause
