    i view it more as “two men who are anti gay also seem preeeeetty gay.” Although i guess that is what makes it into “teehee they are who they hate” but that’s more irony i guess.

      This doesn’t pass the smell test. Are we gonna start saying misogynistic things about conservative women because their side hates women?

      My dad’s gay, and I was asking him about this last night. His take is that usually the most virulently homophobic people turn out to be gay.

        It’s a self loathing thing. It’s not a guarantee that a public phobe is a private phile but if you are all twisted up inside it certainly stokes the fires. They end up trying too hard more often. It’s like one of those things that isn’t always true but it’s true often enough that it ends up looking like a pattern.
