Despite a historic recruitment drive that added 12,000 agents in recently, the agency’s administrative backbone appears to be buckling, with employees desperate enough to turn to the Reddit to detail their struggles.

In raw, unfiltered Reddit posts now spreading beyond law-enforcement circles, ICE officers describe going a month or more without a paycheque, struggling to secure medical cover for sick children, and watching promised bonuses quietly stall.

I know most people would say a lot of these guys are beyond redemption but man is that not a perfect chance to turn someone around away from what they know, I don’t want to ide the them radicalize with them but if the last month or two can’t be a pivot point for them I don’t know

Although it may feel like it at times this is just wrong. Everybody deserves second chances. Doesn’t mean you get off Scott free, though.

Every single minute of every single day, these pieces of shit choose to continue being pieces of shit. Fuck second chances… they’re on like their 480,000th chance by now. And they’re still doubling down on being pieces of shit. At some point, you just have to realize that they’re not going to redeem themselves.

Yeah. People need to stop harmful behavior. But no one is incapable of change or beyond redemption.
