We get them for migration down here in Virginia. Maybe because I didn’t grow up around here and maybe because I haven’t had to deal with them too closely, but I love 'em.

We do concerts at the arboretum in Pasadena during summers, and there’s a bunch of Drag Turkeys that live there.
Issue is: this isn’t a thing, but an animal. Shouldn’t we ask the animal what it calls itself?
The animal: “KAWAAAAAAA”
That’s an “On-bird” actually.

Squid/octopus - Ink fish
Polar bear - Ice bear
Tarsius - Ghost animal
Anteater - Ant tramp
So many weird animals.
Our best guess at the meaning of peacock / peahen is “chicken that goes PAWA!”, which, if you’ve ever spent a night in a place that keeps them, is also very fitting.
