I am convinced China will one day create the healthy cigarette. Smoking culture there is still exploring freedoms Americans can barely remember. Chinese pilots were just banned from smoking in the cockpit in 2019, and that was because some idiot ruined everyone by tuning off the cabin circulation so he could vape.

I am assuming he did this so the rest of the plane wouldn’t find out that he was huffing cotton candy instead of the sweet and smooth taste of the best flue cured golden tobacco Yunyan has to offer.

Breathing smoke is generally bad, yes, but it also depends on what’s in the smoke. Someone breathing campfire woodsmoke is not the same as someone breathing in smoke from melting plastic

Campfire woodsmoke is super super toxic as well, plastic is worse but wood is hardly a clean burn wither. There are differences but that between tobacco and whatever herbal cigarettes are around us pretty minimal. Ive seen this used as a pro weed anti tobacco thing as if they’re mutually exclusive, yeah weed is less bad for you than tobacco but inhaling combusted carbon will always be really fucking bad for you regardless. No one is intentionally smoking fire wood or plastic

i’m not disagreeing, merely adding the context that there’s varying degrees of harmful things. The relative level of carcinogens is relevant, and some things combust in very toxic forms. All smoking is going to be harmful, but the degree to which can vary like one hundred fold. Hookah for instance is WAY worse for than you than smoking weed via a bong, it’s not even remotely close.

Humans have lived closely around campfires for hundreds of thousands of years. Obviously it may have shortened our average lifespans in terms of lung cancer, but it’s not quite the same as people who are involved in a single extremely toxic fires without respiration protection - or even those who have to live next to toxic polluting factories. They can get diseases or die from a single exposure or within a matter of months.

The preposition was that China would create cigs that are healthy

Lighting something on fire and inhaling the concentrated free radicals resulting from its combustion is fundamentally unhealthy

Campfires are smaller. A factory that just burned wood for no reason would have nasty ass emissions, so scale comes into play there. But yeah, there are like…super toxic fires and sorta toxic fires, there are no nom toxic fires.

Didn’t know about the hookah thing, why is thst worse? I have heard stoners over extol the virtue of water filtration via bong cause theyre stoners and are dumb.

The other major aspect to consider when choosing between cigarettes and smoking other stuff is that cigarettes are a drug and herbal cigarettes arent. So if you’re smoking herbal cigarettes you’re just breathing smoke cause you like the smell. You’re still doing the majority of the harm and not getting any of the fun.

Yeah but watching that smoke swirl the air is nice aint it. I wish I could still smoke in the house. My last apartment was gonna be demolished after I moved out so I could do whatever I wanted. It was great.

        • Ive intended to get a nice vaporizer for a while but then it’s always “do i want to spend 1-200 dollars on this” and the answer is no. Maybe next time i foolishly put the bong on the floor and knock it over i’ll do that though

pays for itself in a couple months, you get way more high out of way less weed. Stop burning through weed and wasting 90% of the THC to smoke and combustion. Plus if you really want to maximize, you can use the spent brown vapings to make edibles by simmering them in butter or oil and then straining.

            • Idk personally I’ve found an effect where it’s like, I build an incredible tolerance to vaped weed, specifically? And then I’ll smoke weed and be like woah what the fuck I’m stupid high. Whatever form I’m consuming it in I assume has different cannabinoid ratios affecting me and i get used to that in particular. But yeah ultimately vaping and using the leftovers for edibles would be the most efficient use

I agree, the vape high is more mild. However, for me that’s what I prefer anyway. To each their own, I’m not trying to get blasted and stupid though I’m just trying to take the edge of anxiety off and get in a cozy mood

                • I can’t even get blasted and stupid anymore even with tolerance breaks bawllin-sad

The lying machine has suggested that agmatine sulfate can be used to help downregulate tolerance but I don’t really have the money to spend on supplements to try to get more stoned (although I am goin to try uridine monophosphate to see if it helps fix my fucked up dopamine pathways)

          • Dynavap B is tapered to fit into the downstem of a water piece, and is available for sub 80 CAD. The G2 is even cheaper at 35 USD, but has the disadvantage of being made of breakable glass.

Lighter powered vapes are the closest you can get to a traditional hit.
