I worked with someone that told me he thought that humans were aliens. That our human race came from space original and somehow ended up on Earth.
When I pressed him for why he thought this, he said something like ’ well humans don’t fit in on earth. We have to change things on it to survive. We have to wear clothes and also cook food. ’
Apparently, since ever other living creature on earth doesn’t wear clothes and they eat their food raw it’s proof that they belong in this environment. Humans are an alien species to it.
I didn’t really want to ask more questions, because I just wrote him off as a conspiracy guy at that point. It was also before I knew that some whales wear salmons as hats and that trend comes back just like human fashion trends.
Some chimpanzees also wear strands of grass in their ears (or shoved in their butts).
They are truly just like us
The only major difference between us and the rest of the animal kingdom is that we cook our food. Literally fire is what separates us and that’s it. The act of cooking food both reduces the contaminants, and increases the easily available nutrition significantly. Both of these things combined to help create better tool using brains over tens of thousands of years.
I like to think there’s a chance aliens might have uplifted us. Try being open minded instead of condescending.
You can’t be so open minded that your brain falls off
So I feel like everything falls into one of four categories for me: Impossible, Possible but not likely, Who knows and Certainty.
When we are talking about an event that’s thousands of years ago and involves alien technology, it seems foolish to consider it impossible. I don’t think it’s crazy to stay open to it.
We already don’t have a perfect grasp of our evolutionary tree because of the time scale involved and I doubt we could, at our current tech level, pinpoint any manipulation done by an interstellar society.
Imagine how bizarre being a human would be if your mind just woke up into your body for the first time today.
I mean we are aliens to the aliens.
