This happens a lot, my policy is to wait a week and the contact them. If no answer I assume they rejected me.
It means you either didn’t get it or they’re screwing around and you’ll hear from them in like 3 weeks. Either way, keep looking.
it means they love wastin your time, it’s basically what almost always happens
I interviewed at a job earlier this summer, didn’t hear back from them for a month and a half, and the next communication was “Hey, is there a reason you haven’t signed up for our training modules yet?”
I responded with a “I haven’t heard from you since the interview a month and a half ago, and I’ve taken a different job since then because I wasn’t sitting around waiting for an $18 an hour job.”
Maybe you should call back and ask them about it? I do not know if that is the right call (because I do not have a job), but it is an option.
Usually an email or typed letter is preferred, but that’s specific to my area.
It really depends on the job and their circumstances. My partner has a job she did 2 interviews for and it’s been 3 weeks without hearing anything (about a third interview) but I think it’s because the wanker she’d be working for is traveling (German company so I guess they go all over, she’s interviewing to be an executive assistant)
Just wait a week or a week and a half and then contact them to express continued interest and ask for an update (without sounding pushy or desperate, you gotta finesse)
