    “If we sit back and do nothing, people will wonder why we sat back and did nothing,” Moore said. “This is a step that I feel like we needed to take for public safety.”

    This sounds about what I would expect from a city councillor. Maybe actually a little more candid than usual about their total lack of knowledge concerning the issues facing/surrounding e-bike cyclists.

    I’ve said this time and time again to my local representatives that they should have bike to work days to give them an honest perspective of where the issues really lie within their districts and the city as a whole.

      My city has had aspirational active and public transportation goals for at least 25 year.

      Every new council I delegate they they should swap the car allowance out for a free transit pass and bike subsidy (car allowance can stay prorated of the rural ward). Every council I get a bunch of “hmmmssss” and nothing happens.

      Like maybe the lawmakers would have a better idea how AT and PT work in the city if they didn’t drive from <5km away 🤷
